St. Thomas' Parish is again sponsoring a variety of Christmas related events in 2011. In addition to our Christmas services we are again having our traditional Breakfast with Santa, and Lessons and Carols. Also, back by popular demand is the Christmas Greenery Workshop. And there are two new events: the Christmas Tea Party and a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. We hope there are some things here that interest and inspire you.

Christmas Tea Party Social

Event: Come and be served a variety of teas, tea sandwiches, and desserts. Participate in a Silent Auction, shop at a Christmas Gift Shop, and perhaps win a door prize.
Admission: $30.00 per person; advanced reservation required. Reserve your seat early;
seating is limited to the first fifty people.

Breakfast with Santa

Event: Adults can enjoy a home-cooked country breakfast and shop at a
gift shop while children shop in a Secret Santa Gift Shop and
take pictures with Santa.

Christmas Greenery Workshop

Event: Learn how to make a traditional boxwood wreath, a beautiful centerpiece with candle and details, an adorable boxwood Christmas tree, centerpieces with all the trimmings or a door/table swag. All materials are included in the price, as well as instructor assistance. Refreshments served.

Lessons and Carols

Event: Scripture Readings and Music Perfomed by Professional and Lay Persons. The service is based on a service presented on Christmas Eve 1918 at King's College Cambridge, England. The service was created by Eric Milner-White, Dean of King's College. He had served as an army chaplain during World War I. Reception immediately after the service.
